Prime Time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina – A Virtual Photo Gallery

Bodie Island Light Station

A Bagful of Prime lenses or a zoom lens: The conundrum/Holy War of the photography world (actually only one of them, the only thing that two photographers can agree on is that they don’t agree on anything).

Best image quality? Go for the primes.

Most convenient and ‘good enough’ image quality? Grab a zoom and head out the door.

Today was all about slowing down, packing the primes, and heading out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Keeping my Fujifilm X-T3 company in my bag were:

Fujinon XF16mm F1.4 WR

Fujinon XF 23mm F1.4 R

Fujinon XF 56mm F1.2 R

I won’t bore you with the technical details of each save to say that each one of these is truly at the top of the Fujinon pack for its respective focal length. So with these three beauties I packed up the Fit and headed southeast, in search of.

And this is what I found.

Stay safe in the way you are most comfortable. The place wouldn’t be the same without you.
